New glaze in progress

There's a few colors that I have almost never been able to pin down to my liking. One of them is the color pink and the other is a purplish type of melt that I would describe as hyacinth.

For the longest time I have been combining tin and zinc together to get some type of darkish purple which I can only describe as a light burgundy or lacking red. I've never liked this combination of oxides until the other day in my research I found a new oxide called erbium oxide. I was amazed to find that this is a oxide that turns things straight pink after about 7% in a suspension. I've already done a test inside of the smaller kiln ( which usually provides lackluster results simply because of its size) which had really good success. Came out perfectly pink. I started out with a base I am fairly comfortable with for a good clear and just added the oxide. I'll be adding results to glazy.org soon .
